Dantech Takes Indian Talent to the World Stage: Mohammed Salam Wins Silver at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026

This belief reached a proud milestone at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, where Mohammed Salam won the Silver Medal in Dental Prosthetics, bringing recognition to both Dantech and India on the international stage.
HSSC Entrusts Dantech for the Specialised Training
Dantech Digital Dental Solutions was identified by the Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC), working under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) board, as the training centre for coaching the contestant for WorldSkills.
We sincerely thank the HSSC team for placing their trust in Dantech and giving us the opportunity to contribute to the preparation of Indian talent for this prestigious global competition.
It was a great honour for Dr. Shiva Shankar M, CTO, and Mr. Varun Gunaseelan, CEO, to receive this responsibility and the trust bestowed upon Dantech by HSSC.
Intensive Training at Dantech
As part of the preparation, Mohammed Salam underwent nearly two months of intensive training at Dantech, focusing on technical precision, dental prosthetic craftsmanship, consistency, time management, problem-solving and attention to detail.
The training involved extensive hands-on practice, performance evaluation and continuous refinement to prepare him for the demanding conditions of an international skills competition.
The program was led by Dr. Stephen Samuel, VP – Learning & Development, with Mr. Karthikeyan, AVP – Production, working closely with Mohammed Salam throughout the preparation.
Their dedication and expertise played an important role in providing intensive training, technical guidance and mentorship throughout this journey.

The WorldSkills Dental Prosthetics competition combines dental technology, digital workflows, craftsmanship, materials knowledge and precision. Mohammed Salam’s Silver Medal in this new competition category is a significant achievement and a proud reflection of the skills developed through focused preparation.
